Greetings, friends! Thank you for visiting our JDRF Ride page. That's right, OUR Ride page. After ten years of being one of my very best fans and supporters... an unofficial training companion, a fundraising supporter, and an inspiration in every way... Webb is finally of age to participate in his first JDRF as a junior rider. This is truly a moment in time for our family! 

Webb and I have been riding bikes together since he was three years old- in the neighborhood, on the local trails, around town, on our western tours in Colorado, Utah, and Idaho, and recently with his mountain biking team. We love spending time together on two wheels and this has become "our thing." (Check out the video for a few favorite pictures!)

This December we will be taking our love of cycling to the next level and riding together with JDRF in Amelia Island to raise donations to find a cure for Type One Diabetes. Webb has set a goal to ride 55 miles, and I hope to complete my fifth century ride of 100 miles with JDRF. Webb has already spent hours tuning and cleaning my bike, and has re-built a road bike for himself that was given to him by a fellow JDRF rider (Sunnie, we are so grateful!!) It's good to know we have another mechanic on hand! 

Being part of the JDRF Ride team is much more than riding on event day. It's about the group of people who come together - all with a common goal to eliminate T1D - supporting each other during countless training miles leading up to the ride, and who have faith that one day we will find a cure. Webb's decision to join this mission is a proud parenting moment.
