November is Diabetes Awareness Month and Hamilton Building Supply has partnered with Breakthrough T1D to raise funds to fight for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.  Over the past two years, this campaign has raised over $82,000 and this year we're going to eclipse the $100,000 mark! All funds raised this November will be matched dollar for dollar by Hamilton Building Supply!

We'll be celebrating our big month with a party for friends, family, customers, coworkers and fellow T1D's!  Join us on Thursday, December 5th from 6pm-9pm at Killarney's Publick House in Hamilton, NJ for a night of live music, great food and drink and silent auction.

~About T1D~
Type 1 Diabetes, better known as T1D, is a chronic form of Diabetes that makes your pancreas incapable of producing the insulin your body needs to turn sugar into energy.  Without insulin, your blood sugar rises, forcing your body into ketoacidosis and you will get seriously ill or die.  Unfortunately, Type 1 Diabetes cannot be treated or cured by diet and exercise and these diabetics rely on daily doses of insulin and around-the-clock blood sugar monitoring to stay healthy.

T1D is a very rare form of Diabetes, where only about 1 in 300 people have the disease and only about 5% of all Diabetics are Type 1 (about 95% of Diabetics are Type 2).  About 200,000 children under the age of 18 live with T1D.
