Let's create a world without T1D!

Joe was a Husband, Dad, Grandfather, Scout Leader, Softball Coach, Baseball Coach, Mentor, and a Friend. Joe found out as a child that he was a Type 1 Diabetic. At that time, little was known about this disease or how to fully care for it. Joe spent his whole life learning how to handle and care for his diabetes. He didn't let this stop him or slow him down, but diabetes did try. His daily life had many challenges, including insulin injections that needed to be carefully balanced with eating and activity, disruptive glucose monitoring, sleepless
nights—and wishing for a tomorrow where this struggle doesn’t exist. Joe felt it was important enough to take time off work to participate in the University of Pittsburgh's Diabetic research to help others learn and survive with diabetes.

While Joe does not have to struggle with this anymore, many others do continue to struggle with diabetes every day. To celebrate Joseph Kosek's life, we
ask that you consider giving a gift to JDRF in his name.

Thank You,
The Kosek Family
