Wawa walks to cure T1D
The Wawa Foundation is proud to continue its support of Breakthrough T1D Fall events. The Wawa Foundation is supporting with a $20,000 contribution to Breakthrough T1D in support of the National Wawa Walk Team. If you decide to fundraise, the WaWa Foundation will match up to $100 for each associate. Please register to participate in the National Wawa Walk Team under a walk location near you. Associates are encouraged to post individual walk photos on the Honker and social media to celebrate. Below are the 4 signature walks The Wawa Foundation will be supporting with a $5,000 contribution:
- Sunday, 10/13 - Avon by the Sea, NJ
- Saturday, 10/19- Wilmington, DE
- Sunday, 10/20 - Blackwood, NJ
- Sunday, 11/10 - Philadelphia, PA
Looking for a way to participate virtually? Get your steps in via Breakthrough T1D One World, our virtual world on Roblox! Breakthrough T1D World is a free, family-friendly experience where people of all ages can compete in minigames, go on quests, and learn about type 1 diabetes (T1D). Now Breakthrough T1D One World includes Charity Walk Simulator, a brand new tycoon sim game that puts you in charge of your very own Breakthrough T1D Walk.
Simply register under a walk location near you, but instead of attending that Walk, you’ll pledge to visit Breakthrough T1D One World anytime this spring and setting a goal of hitting of Level 30 in the Charity Walk Simulator game.
